Breeds and breeding programmes

The KAS breed and breeding-programme overview distinguishes established breeds from experimental crosses. Recognition and registration conditions depend on the relevant organisation and programme.

Breed and puppy guides

Experimental programmes are considered separately from recognised breeds. Maltipoo F1 has a Maltese mother and a Poodle father. For each programme, check its rules, health documentation and how its documents are labelled.

Maltipoo: care, health and experimental KAS pedigree

Maltipoo F1 in the KAS programme means a Maltese mother crossed with a Poodle father. This is an experimental association programme, not an independent breed recognised by FCI or the state. Available documents should explain parentage and generation.

Toy and Miniature Poodle: pedigree, health and puppies

Poodles have distinct size varieties. Choose a Toy or Miniature Poodle for welfare and family compatibility, not promises of the smallest possible weight. A genealogical document should identify dog, parents and issuing body; a KAS pedigree remains an association document, not automatically FCI.

Dachshund: pedigree, spinal health and puppy care

A Dachshund is an active dog, not simply a small companion. Assess functional movement, temperament and the family’s capacity to meet its needs. An association pedigree describes available genealogical entries; it does not automatically prove recognition by another registry or spinal health.

French Bulldog: exotic traits, blue eyes and health

The French Bulldog is brachycephalic. Exotic or blue-eyes labels describe traits or varieties within relevant association programmes, not a separate state or FCI standard. Coat colour and eye colour are different characteristics; neither is evidence of health.

Family breeding: selection, supervision and responsibility

Dogs live with affiliated breeding families responsible for daily care, veterinary arrangements and keeping their original documents. KAS performs association-level checks and reviews outcomes. Association suitability does not replace public authorisations or breeders’ statutory duties. KAS is not a puppy retailer.

Puppies: health records and responsible family choices

A responsible puppy choice starts with the family’s needs, the breeding environment and available documentation. This guide explains how to distinguish identity, clinical outcomes and selective DNA testing without promises of guaranteed health. KAS provides association supervision, not puppies for sale.

KAS is an association, not a shop or marketplace. This guide does not advertise available puppies or prices.
